This Gambrel Farmhouse was designed on a pond in Rochester, Massachusetts. It uses simple elegant forms to allow for the maximizing the living space on the inside, while keeping the roof lines lower on the outside. The front of the house is softened with a farmers porch on the front and a screen porch to the side. The rear elevation is a full walkout which is grounded by transitioning to stone at the lower level. This stone responds to natural features of the site.
